We all know that rejection is never good, especially when you go through it. I know I have (this is a well-known fact). All I wanna know is do you guys ever feel rejected in some form or fashion?
I wanted to go to a weight-loss-camp. T hey didn't want me though because I am blind. Fortunately I found another camp to go to, but that was really a bad experience.
I have been rejected by society far too often, to the point, where I have resorted to hanging about with a group of bikers, who have accepted me without question.
CGG that's obscene still it was a lucky escape, as they wouldn't have been much use to you.
i've been rejected many times, but you can't let it get you down.
In college, I was once rejected by an apartment owner because he was afraid I would wet on the floor.
Glad I didn't rent there.
Sometimes, for someone to reject you is good, because, if they didn't express their bias, you can get stuck with it later on. Then it's usually worse.
Just my thoughts.

Well, my first thought is that No doesn't necessarilly mean No. It sometimes depends on what you do with that rejection. Granted it sucks when it happens. I almost got rejected by the chair of the music Department in college. I was taking a summer class, and he turned out to be my instructor. I made up my mind I was going to tough it out. He was probably my strongest ally the whole time I was there while he was alive. In terms of societal rejection of us as people who are blind, It does indeed happen, and to paraphrase what someone once said on Star Trek, I'm not going to stay in a burning house. Another way to think of it is to try not to remember the times you've been rejected, but rather how neat it was the times you were accepted. I know how "pollyanna-ish" some of these things sound, but the point I'm trying to make i that dealing with rejection kinda depends on your mindset.
